Everybody who consciously goes to war knows that dressing and equipping for war are prerequisites for going into battle. You cannot go to war not knowing who is your enemy. You must also be aware of the demographics, terrain, tenacity, and abilities of the enemy which include the type of weapon they are likely to use, and how you may counter with similar or better weapons. A Christian would be ill-advised to be unprepared to fight against the enemy of our souls (the devil) who is constantly at war with, and against us. Therefore, as the apostle warned the Ephesians brethren, the warning goes out to us, put on the “whole armor of God that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil” (Ephesians 6:10-18). If you are in a fight, which we all are, dress for war!
